Brands you'll hear about

An overview of formats each brand describes publicly. Lineups change and vary by state, so check the brand's own site and your licensed retailer. We're not affiliated with any of these brands.

M

Muha Meds

A brand known for its 510-thread cartridges and all-in-one disposables. It also lists flower, pre-rolls, concentrates and gummies.

  • Formats: 510 cartridges with ceramic-core hardware, all-in-one disposables
  • Verification: scratch-off code (2nd-gen packaging) or the brand's members app scan (3rd-gen)
  • Note: cartridges verify from the box and disposables from the device. The codes are different.
C

Cali Clear

A brand best known for disposable vapes, and also seen as cartridges. It says it sources California cannabis and publishes third-party lab results.

  • Formats: disposables and cartridges
  • Verification: unique code on the packaging, checked through the brand's official verification page
  • Watch for: look-alike names such as "Cali Clean," which the brand says aren't its products
S

STIIIZY

Uses a proprietary pod system rather than 510 carts. Pods lock into the brand's own batteries.

  • Formats: Original pods, Live Resin Liquid Diamonds pods, all-in-ones
  • Sizes: half-gram and 1-gram pods (availability varies by state)
  • Red flag: a "STIIIZY 510 cart" doesn't exist. If you see one, it's fake.
R

Raw Garden

A California producer known for "Refined Live Resin." It highlights Clean Green certification and third-party testing.

  • Formats: Refined Live Resin and Live Sauce cartridges, all-in-ones, ready-to-use pens
  • Also: live resin, sauce, badder and diamond concentrates
  • Where: sold through licensed California dispensaries

Guide

How to spot a counterfeit cart

Popular brands are among the most counterfeited. Fake carts aren't tested and can contain pesticides, heavy metals or cutting agents. Here's the five-step check:

  1. Check where the code takes you

Scan the QR or enter the code and look at the web address. It should be the brand's official site or app, not a look-alike domain, a shop, or a page that just says "authentic."

  2. Read the scan count

A sealed box you just opened should show few or no previous scans. A code with hundreds of scans was likely copied onto a whole run of fakes.

  3. Match the lab report (COA)

Open the Certificate of Analysis. The batch number must match the one on your package, and it should name a licensed lab and show pass results for pesticides, heavy metals, residual solvents and microbials.

  4. Check the hardware and packaging

Blurry printing, misspellings, a flavor the brand never made, or the wrong hardware (like a "510" from a pod-only brand) are giveaways.

  5. Only buy from licensed retailers

Social media sellers, gas stations, random websites and "plugs" are where fakes live. In legal states, licensed dispensaries sell only tested products. If a price looks too good to be true, it is.

Flower basics

Reading the bud, and the label

Indica

Traditionally associated with shorter, bushier plants and described as relaxing.

Sativa

Traditionally taller, narrow-leaf plants, often described as uplifting.

Hybrid

A cross of both. Most flower sold today is a hybrid of some kind.

Researchers increasingly say these labels predict effects poorly. Cannabinoid and terpene content tell you more than the category does.

Terpenes, the aroma compounds

  • Myrcene earthy, musky, herbal
  • Limonene bright citrus
  • Caryophyllene peppery, spicy
  • Pinene fresh pine
  • Linalool floral, lavender-like

How to read a lab label

Total THC
The usable THC, counting THCA that turns into THC when heated.
Total CBD
The same calculation for CBD.
Terpene %
The total terpene content, often with the top terpenes listed.
Batch / lot ID
Should match the COA exactly.
Dates
Harvest or package date and test date. Fresher is better.
Safety panel
Pass results for pesticides, heavy metals, mycotoxins, microbials and residual solvents.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Do you sell anything?

No. The Wizard's Stash is an informational site only. We don't sell, ship, deliver or take orders for any product.

Are you affiliated with these brands?

No. Brand names are mentioned only to describe them. We aren't affiliated with or endorsed by any brand, and all trademarks belong to their owners.

Where can I legally buy cannabis?

Only where it's legal for adults, from state-licensed retailers. Laws differ by state and country, so check your local rules.

Is a QR code enough to prove a cart is real?

No. A QR code can be copied. Check that it opens the official site, look at the scan count, and match the batch number to the lab report.

What is a 510-thread cartridge?

The most common cartridge connection standard. It screws onto most standard vape batteries. Some brands use proprietary pods instead.

What's the difference between a cartridge and a disposable?

A cartridge attaches to a separate battery. A disposable (all-in-one) has the battery built in and is used until it's empty.
